49/52 - From Below

These are two of my favourite people in the entire world – Mama and her shadow.

The Doodle loves the great outdoors and isn’t deterred in the least bit by the onset of the great Canadian winter.  She had donned her snow pants before she even knew their was an opportunity to go outside.  When it clicked that her mama was about to leave the house, the Doodle clearly let us know that she wanted in on the action.

We like to BBQ year round and it’s pretty dark out there without a light.  Mama had a headlamp on, and of course, the Doodle wanted one, too.

I thought it was pretty hilarious to watch the two of them traipse around our urban backyard with headlamps on.  My iPhone was handy, only it was too difficult to photograph the Doodle and Otto together because of the height difference.

I asked Otto to crouch.  And now that she’s into imitation, the Doodle quickly followed suit.

From below, she looks up at her mama with love and adoration.

What a cool shot. I love the way the light illuminates their faces.
(And Roo teases me for being such a fan of headlamps. But they’re so darn useful! I used mine tonight when taking out the compost in our own urban backyard)

Obviously my family is on the same headlamp page as you. This was taken during urban winter BBQing.

The Doodle loves that lamp. We’re going to have to get her one of her very own for camping this summer.
